We ran this in two different variants to cover lightweight tarps and hammocks. Here's a breakdown on each:

    1.1 oz Silnylon

Stretch - Nylon, not poly, so it will have more stretch when wet like other silnylon fabrics.

Durability - We went with a thicker base yarn (30D vs 20D), which ups the durability and strength over our standard 1.1 oz Silnylon in solid colors.

Waterproofness - We used an extra thick silicone coating on this one, so the waterproofness is even better than our standard Silnylon and Silpoly. Hydrostatic Head of > 2000 mm.

    1.1 oz Ripstop Nylon

    1. Stretch - Lower stretch than our 20D 1.1 oz Ripstop Nylon. More stretch than 1.6 oz HyperD.

    2. Durability - Very durable for a 1.1 oz fabric. Probably the most durable hammock fabric we have before jumping up to 1.6 HyperD.

    3. Feel - Reasonably soft with a nice hand and drape. Makes a comfortable hammock for sure. Comparable in feel/softness to our standard 1.1 oz Ripstop Nylon.

    4. Breathability - Highly breathable.

    5. Weight Rating - 225 lbs estimated.

    6. Sewability - Because it's softer, slightly more difficult to sew than something a bit stiffer like our 1.0 ROBIC XL.

I dreamed of having access to this pattern for a long time, especially since we saw it in your profile for a tarp for so long. I'm completely happy with my Intruder Multicam, but could keep this in mind for a future project for sure.

How is the pattern/ink printing done on these? I'm assuming this isn't an in-house print (OutdoorINK), so is it a one sided print or on both sides? Curious how it looks on both sides in both fabric ranges.

    Good stuff regardless.
