I just saw a video about FiberFix and now I'm wondering if I should add some into my emergency kit. Who has tried this stuff and does it live up to the claims?

It looks like a commercial grade version of syntho-glass, which I have used. I know many emergency kits that contain syntho-glass. It really only works around smaller diameter things, just keep that in mind.
I have to wonder about its usefulness on the trail though. It has be to dunked in water. He always covered it with another tape on top (to protect it?). He always wore gloves while handling it. The stuff looks great for around the house....I don't know about in the woods though.
Loved the commercial though!

Awesome commercial......may have to get some for the house. Lord knows i break things all the time.
When the wife asks, I simply say "Shug made me do it".
I am intrigued and will probably get some to put right next to my JBWeld in my tool box. What a great commercial, though.
My kid broke his arm last year and they used almost identical stuff to make his cast. He even got the GoreTex liner so the whole thing was waterproof. He was in the pool later that day.
I looked into this product but never picked up any. It's activated by water so even exposure to humidity will turn it into a solid lump. Therefore, you can't open a roll and do a small repair. The rest will go "bad" in short order like some potato chips or a loaf of bread. From what I saw it's not really adhesive much at all but rather sticks to itself very well and then hardens. I have a hard time believing this would work well for a lot of the applications advertised.
I think it is Fiberglass. As Zukiguy points out, cast for damaged limbs are probably the same. Note the gloves, sicky stuff, sets up fast, packaging looks like once it is open you need to use it immediately, I bet you can not cut off a piece because it will adhere to whatever you try to cut it with. Love the commercial.
