At least some decent cold temperatures. Can't say much for any significant snow after the all day rain we had in Southern Ontario today.

What Bubba said.. We'll have to carve and burn a token baton for ya. Hopefully we'll see you at the backcountry hang.

    Hello all,

Been a while since I have been on here... Found out late last night that I will be able to clear my schedule. Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday night!

Spent the day in Algonquin with my daughter, got about 10 cm of fresh powder and went on a couple of day hikes. This winter/year is starting off nicely.

    Cheers,

Chard, how does paying for the sites work for a group camp? Do I pay you, or pay or somebody else, or at the front gate? Hopeful to be coming Friday but can't commit to Saturday yet. I also will be bringing another hanger who also lives nearby. Two more sleeps!

Same question I was wondering too! Also, how does it work for water at this time of year? I'm guessing that the taps around the campground are frozen.

Planning to come for the Friday night/Saturday morning, and will fashion a beak of some sort with my extra tarp, and bring many warm backup layers Just in case...!

I generally bring my own water in a large gallon jug. Available water is potable though.

Permits: I'm looking into a group rate. Give me until tomorrow night to see if we can get a group rate. More info to come.

I'll be heading in tomorrow and paying for thurs, fri, sat night. We'll figure out fees after since some will be staying one night, some two.
Im bringing in my diy reflector "easy bake oven" to play with ,so if you have something you want to bake,by all means bring it.
It will accept a 13" pan. Also bring firewood if you have it.
No signs,no fees,no rules, nobody. My kind of campsite.

76 Highboy, what time do you think you would be setting up today? If I can get away I might try and stop by with some firewood. I have a seasons pass for Valens so can get if the gates are closed. For Friday I will likely have my Impreza so not a lot of room for firewood!
