Ladies in NC informal hang

New to the forum and relatively new to hanging. Just wondered if there are any ladies in NC that might be down for an informal hang just to get out of the house. I am thinking to go west since I am in the east and it's hotter than two rats...well...

I was thinking maybe the 2nd or 3rd weekends in August. Somewhere toward the foothills. Anybody interested?

It has definitely been hot. I refuse to hang until September when we go to Grayson. It was hot for our hang in May, and lord knows it's hotter now. I'm looking forward to fall temps and fall hangs.

Me too! I keep telling myself to just wait until September too but I have not been out in almost 2 months because of work travel and I am so ready! I may just hang in the yard and run a drop cord for my big industrial fan! Lol!

I jokingly told The Terminator that she should do a Ladies Only Hang in our back yard and she thought is was a great idea and is going to do it sometime in August. We have room for 14 hammocks between our Secret Hammock Institute of Testing which will hold 9 hammocks plus 5 stands. She already has several ladies from work wanting to do it.

At work when they had someone in a different department that was not working, they would send that person to work under her. Most folks would leave because she made them work their *** off and did not cut them any slack. One person they sent to her was still there a few months later and when asked why, she said because that person works.

She has 6 ladies interested at this point including herself. We have 5 stands so we could lend you one if you are interested. As the ladies that say they are going to attend do not have hammocks and have never been in a hammock before, we will be loaning them the gear. Told The Terminator that while UQs probably will not be needed, it is better to have them so I can only set up 7 hammocks with UQs as UQs are the limiting factor ( I have about 13 tarps and 9 hammocks with bug nets ).

If you are interested, let me know and I will keep you informed when she plans to hold it. I think she plans on a one night deal with a cook out in the back yard.

She and I will get along good then.

I am definitely interested! Just need to know a date to make sure I can swing it. I will need to borrow a stand and I am ordering my first underquilt tonight so I shouldn't need one. I sleep hot tho so I probably won't even need it with my sleeping pad and blanket.

Gunner told me that you might be interested in the hang. By all means come on down! Hot lips, you too are welcomed! Of course we'll see you at Grayson. It actually started because I have an exchange student from Trinidad that wants to do it. Comet seeker, come on down! It's cooler here on the coast than raleigh. But not by much!
