I really like the no-hole knotty mods and will definitely be using them on my next diy. Although I never had an issue with creating holes for the mod in the past, the no-hole method just looks much more finished.
I've never had luck with burn holes and I'm always afraid it will get away from me and get too big. Also I don't like the way cordage snags on the hard crusty burnt edges. The grosgrain tabs aren't very a appealing to me either. I saw this method on here when searching for where and how long to put the mod, but don't remember who posted it. I like that it doesn't really add any extra work, just stop lock your stitch, skip enough room for your cord and begin again. Unless you want to go to the work of sewing a button hole this maintains a good finished look. It also puts the cord locks on the bottom side of the hammock so the dangling shock cord and cordlocks are out of the way.

I'm a big fan of the fabric. Great feel and not too much stretch. Feels robust and still packs small and light. Feels like I upgraded from a bicycle to a Cadillac Although I'm not quite ready to reduce my 10' 1.1 nylon to stuff sacks.

I haven't actually weighted it, but calculating it from materials used it should be around 10-13 oz with the stuff sack.
