    First winter hang in Sweden

The first real winter weekend in the southern parts of Sweden. It was a clear, cold night with no mist. The temperature was only - 8 degrees but it was enough to freeze the lake and ground. All alone, only the rumble from the lake freezing and the sound of the "barking" deer..could not be more lucky :-)

One of the best trips during this year.

The only thing missing...a stove that do not sound like a jet engine.

Gear: WBBB XLC, UKH TQ & UQ, Optimus Nova+, Fällkniven F1 & Osprey talon

Some Coffee in the morning sun:

    While you were having a cool -8c, I was sweltering in a 35c / 93%humidity heat..
    ...I'd prefer your temps, 😎
    Nice pics.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

Have you considered a woodburning stove or something similar that doesn't use any gas

I haven't used my trangia or primus set for a while because i don't mind tinkering with my solo stove or some other kind open fire cooking..

And for me the soot on the pots and pans isn't so big deal..

Optimus Nova is good during the cold season..but is a bit to heavy and..the sound. Right now I am thinking of Toaks Wood stove. Have you tried one?

    Soot doesn't bother me..

In the northern parts it's already a lot of snow and colder temperatures.. Can't wait for the holidays and a trip to the cottage :-)

    Hmm..a fire..why didn't I think about that? :-)

Sometimes..it's nice to have a quick and easy way to get something hot to eat.. but I agree. A fire is one of the best solutions..
