I'm sure this has been discussed many times but I could not find much on the forum, maybe someone could kindly provide me a reminder.
What would be wrong about sewing climashield directly to the hammock to get an UQ? The price for UL ripstop is so expensive and the 6.6 nylon so cheap, at least from my only available-serious source in Europe (extremtextil) that it would make sense to have a hammock for each season by sanwiching the climashield between the hammock and some UL nylon. Is this gonna compress the insulation? wouldn't this save any weight by avoiding the suspensions and the additional nylon layer? Is it that difficult to find the right-definitive positioning for the insulation? I thank you in advance for any answer to these trivial questions..
