I'm hoping that the Ultra will allow me to share the tarp with others when I got out with my family.
I'm still using mine over 6 years later, and it is still in great shape. I'm not sure it's big enough for 2 to sleep under but it definitely is big enough for a couple to sit around under if it's raining. I like the 3 guy lines because you can almost pull the ends in like doors if it is really nasty.

I hope you got side pullouts. If not you should think about adding them. It really opens up the space.

    Welcome from ITP.

For family stuff, we have some of the best state parks in the southeast. Worth giving a look as you are planning adventures.

Thanks. I've never done an overnight at a state park. Are there any you would recommend? The leaves are near peak around here right now (at least those that haven't turned brown from the drought).

Cloudland Canyon may be a little past peak but it's beautiful. There is alot of "civilized" noise overnight, i.e. traffic noises, trains, etc. Not too bad but more than I like to hear out in the wilds.
