Check out the planning thread for HangCon2017 in the Ocala National Forest just a few hours from you.
It's in January every year and most years we have temps in the 20's and 30's. Great time to learn about all types of hammock and tarp systems. There is also a kayak trip to the Silver Springs during the hang.
