Just ordered my first down TQ!!!!

I just placed my order with HG for a custom length 0° Burrow. I'm having them remove 1 chamber from a short length quilt to shorten it roughly 5", as I don't like to pull my quilts over my head and I'm pretty short at 5'6". It should come about up to my nose when I pull it all the way up. Perfect length for me. I got standard width also. It will be dark olive A90 outer and black A67 taffeta inner. Im a pretty cold sleeper so I got the sewn footbox and 3oz overstuff. 1 oz in foot area of footbox and the other 2 oz spread evenly through the rest of the quilt. Its gonna be a really warm quilt for sure! I was gonna just get 2oz, but since they are having a flash sale untill tomorrow night, I figured why not? it'll be pretty much free! All my gear is black and green so it'll look great and be more than enough for any temp here in Northeastern Maryland. I can't wait!!!

Tota agree. I had a million questions about figuring out how to get the shorter than normal length I want and Harry emailed me back right away and was super helpful. I think that since I've got a synthetic 3 season quilt set and a down 0° set, plus the HH exped/typhoon combo now, I'm set as far as buying gear goes for a while lol. Although, I can definetly see selling the HH and upgrading to a WBBBXLC next spring. I like the HH but it feels really dark and confining with the dark green hammock body, heavy noseeum and dark brown typhoon fly. But that's just on my wish list, my wife would KILL me if I got anymore new gear!!! Since ALL my stuff is black and green, I can kinda hide it now BC she doesn't hang with me and know what anything is.... But she'll know the difference between the HH and WBBBXLC lol !!!

I'm still at the old, down Underquilt - Military Sleep System on top-stage.
Seems like I KNOW what to do...
I've READ the UGQ quilt article...
I've researched the types of insulation...
I have some cash set aside...
