    UQ advice pleasenet

I am looking for a full length UQ that won't break the bank and will work well with my 11' Dutch netless hammock. I've been reading various threads but could really use some advice. I want to go with full length because I move around a LOT in my hammock and change position and orientation. I am cold natured so I want to be sure I'll be warm. I'd appreciate advice. I've never used an UQ or hammocked in cold weather.

The Loco Libre Gear Cayenne Pepper is what I sleep in, and I love it. It uses Climashield Apex 6.0 oz insulation, good down to about 25F, has George Carr's expert shaping to the shell, and sports full primary and secondary suspension; an 80" long by 50" wide model (perfect for restless sleepers) complete with down draft collars in your choice of Argon 90 fabrics is only $160, which I think represents an exceptional value.

The Jarbidge ($100) is very popular.

I have a incubator 0* and wouldn't trade it for anything. Some people thinks it to warm but I can't sleep if I'm cold or just a little chilly. This is an area you don't want to skimp on. All of my friends went to a cheaper under quilt and regretted it.
The path you choose in life. Should lead straight to a Hammock!

An excellent suggestion and a great quilt value...but NOT full-length as per the OP's specification...

I can recommend Enlightened Equipment. None of the other synthetic underquilt makers uses Climashield Apex 8oz. I don't have the Prospect, but I have been using my Prodigy as a supplementary underquilt, and like it very much. The shell fabric is nice, and the workmanship is top notch.

Seems like I'm wrong - AHE must be using a heavier Climashield as well, since they say it's 4 season. I wish they would give more details... In any case, the New River underquilt is full-length.

At Loco Libre we offer an option to add a layer of 3.6 to the 6.0.

I would recommend Loco Libre particularly for their underquilts. The sizing options there are amazing, goes in one inch increments. If you need a 73" quilt, you can get a 73" quilt. You don't have to carry, pay or settle for a "one size fits all" uq.
