    Braided Kevlar Rope?

    https://amzn.com/B01850OSV8

Does anybody have experience with this stuff?

They are saying a 1000lb strength for 2.5mm line. For $16 might just order some to try out and see if its useful for anything.

Looked around for older threads, but didn't turn up any useful information.

At 16 bucks that puts it at 32 cents a foot. Kinda pricey to me.

    180ft of zingit 16 cents
Amsteel can be had for 19

I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

Search firesong posts he was testing some kevlar cord out. Figured you were thinking more about hammock suspension and not tarp.

The 1000lb isn't strong enough. I've tested some myself and I was let down the other issue is it will cut itself and any other fabric/line it's in contact with. Tried it with anchors, speed hooks and a few other things. I have some 1500 lb Kevlar line and haven't pushed it as much. It wasn't something easily noticed till it failed. People who use it with kites are usually hated... it cuts through other lines.
