Do you guys remove your bug net in fall/winter?

    Guys,
I have the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC which has a removable bug net. I've always used the bug net event in fall/winter because it seems to cut some wind and holds a bit of heat. Do you guys take your bug net off or use it in the cooler weather?

I use either a bug net or an integrated net hammock until I am sure every last damned mosquito is dead for the season, because I loathe getting bit while I sleep. (Depending upon how wet a year we've had here that can be past Hallowe'en...) The extra added benefit I've come to appreciate from a hammock with a net is that quilts, pillows, and other items stay in your hammock when you enter and exit half asleep in the middle of the night instead of falling on the ground. I'm planning on getting some good overnight use out of my netless hammock during some true winter hangs...but I'll probably be in my sock for those anyway!

I don't. It still acts as a bit of a wind screen in winter.

I don't have a physical bug net. Permethrin all the way. Keeps the critters away all year round. When I DID have a net, I did notice a bit or a wind break/warmer effect. Not downing the net, but I like my freedom. I do miss the effect of the net keeping things in the hammock when I'm out of it, or getting up in the middle of the night to answer nature's call.
