Dumb question, but what's the best way of identifying top of tarp so you can tell when it's in the snakeskins? I have different colored continuous loops to tell me the head end of my hammock. So far, the tarp is a guess. I sometimes have to unhook and flip. Any simple, now why didn't I think of that ideas? Tnx in advance.
Your tarp has a head end? Or do you mean upside down?
Upside down. The head end was in reference to the hammock and the use of different colored continuous loops to differentiate head from foot. Is there a simple way to mark top so you can tell top from bottom when it's in the skins?
How are you hanging the tarp fom the trees?
How are you putting your tarp into the skins?
I roll my tarp from bottom corner to center on one side and then slide the skin over, and repeat on the other side I've never had a problem with having to flip my tarp. It has always unrolled how I rolled it up.

Hennessy skins are shaped so it's easy to tell the difference. Tear drop shape I think.
Zing it on each end with a Dutch Wasp. I roll up the corner aND then pull the skin over the tarp. I have not found a good way to know which is up or down on the tarp with just a split ring hanging outide of the skin.Originally Posted by Luke Benson

I don't believe it matters much - you can always add a half twist to your entire tarp to flip it to your correct side.

Yeah, I'm still confused, sorry. I've used bling at either end (two lines) and a crl setup in my skins. If it's upside down I just flip it over then stake it down....?
