    Triangle Rings

Does anybody know where I can purchase some 1/2 inch steel triangle rings? I am having trouble finding anyone that makes them in this size that look somewhat sturdy.

1/2" as in a 1/2" triangle or as in made with 1/2" stock? if 1/2" stock, that is substantial and you might look at triangle screw links used for climbing if you are looking for a triangle with 1/2" sides..... sorry can't help, smallest that i have seen is 1"

Yes, should have explained better. 1/2" sides. Anything I find is made for jewelry and not substantial.
    Thanks for the reply!

Is there a reason you can't use D rings? Those should be easy to find.

I had the same problem for a long time with "mitten hooks". I wanted metal ones for the ends of my tie-out lines. The plastic ones kept opening up. I finally found some on amazon called "key chain mini clips". Metal mitten hooks with a spring gate. Sometimes you have to look in odd places for the thing you want.

Search "delta rings" or "triangular links"
Usually used at strap or chain ends for trucking tie downs, in varying thicknesses.

"Triangular links" may be preferable; a search for "delta rings" will get you mostly AR-15 parts and sorority jewelry!

"Triangular split rings" may also be worth a search, if you're looking for fairly small (but still strong) triangular links; their utility to you may depend upon your application, but typically they are used for camera straps... HTH.

Thanks for the replies! I will be searching for "triangular links".
In this case, triangle links will work better than D-Rings. Triangle links (in the correct size) will not allow the straps any movement.

I believe WildernessLogic (and other cottage industry sources) sells metal mitten clips now.
