EGL Fall Hang 2016 - "Autumn Gale on Ralph Bice" or "Hammocks and Ham Hocks"

Hi all. Just back from another great EGL Hang into Algonquin. Although the weather was a little challenging, you can't fault the scenery; Algonquin was showing off her colours in style. A week or two past their prime, the hills were dominated by dark greens of the conifers, the pale yellows of the birches and greys of the tree limbs here and there accented by a splash of bright red. The forest floor was a carpet of gold. Beautiful.

    Trip report to follow asap!

Can someone who was able to go please post just one or two pics to tease us, please? I'd love to see how it went, but I know it's hard to find the time to get a full trip report up!

Lol. Between work, family and the US election coverage, I'm trying my best to finish the trip report ...

But in the spirit of understandable impatience....

    In a word: Amazing!

Easy to set up and the tarp and hammock fit perfectly. The hammock was easy to set to the right angle the first time.

I did notice the stand whistling a bit when the wind was gusting but I think that would hold true for other stands as well.

Thanks Chard, and sorry for the impatience... those pics were great! It looks like everyone had a good time and it didn't look too cold or wet.

Real sorry we missed the hang, but Nanny and Pappa duties with a 3 year old had to come first.
