    Sipsey PDF Map

The Sipsey OnePage PDF is like a treasure map! It seems to have everything on it, with names.
What's the best way to get it from the digital screen to my hands, in a format big enough to read?

In my dreams, I would know a graphic designer with a magic printer that would blow it up and put it on waterproof paper for me. Since I live in Birmingham, and not in my fantasy world, any ideas?

At work we have a very large format printer and I had it printed at 3' X 4' and have it on my desk. But there's another good map that is already on water proof paper and is available at places like Alabama Outdoors, Mountain High outfitters and directly from Carto-Craft in Hover, Al.

The Briartech map is good - it has lots of GPS information on it, but it's not entirely accurate or detailed. For example, trail 205 hasn't been maintained in years and is not a fun adventure from what I have heard. With that being said, I have a large one printed (and all the coordinates in my GPS) but use the Carto-Craft map in the woods for navigation.

There's also one major trail mislabeled and I wish we could get that fixed as this is a great map. Now if we could just get some enterprising individual to large print this on water proof paper I'd buy one as would many many others.

I have the CartoCraft map. I like the Briartech one because it has the creeks, falls, and canyons named. I appreciate having all the landmarks clearly noted so I have some idea of what I'm looking for.

As a PDF is completely editable. I've downloaded it and cropped and changed it to suit my needs a few times.

Yes I knew that but didn't have access to software to do so. What app do you use to edit the PDF?

I use Adobe Illustrator. I think you can still download a free copy of CS2 from their site. It's a huuuuggggeee file if you decide to mess with it.

The briartech map is also one of the download options for the Maplets phone app. It works pretty well there too.

I print screen (after zooming in on the area I'm interested in) and print it out after saving in paint. Lets me decide how big to print it on a standard 8x11 sheet depending on resolution.

That's just for printing I was asking about the editing of the pdf.
