It works pretty well for me. Sometimes the available maps aren't perfect. I've used it a lot at Sipsey on the Thompson, Sispsy, Borden trails and some of the trails off of those and its pretty accurate. The only deceptive bit is where the Bee Branch and Sipsey trails meet up. It seems slightly off. I mostly use it to get a general idea how far I've come. I've also used it on day hikes around Monte Sano with good results and with ok results around Cheaha. It was free when I got it so I suppose it's up to you if it's worth it. It seems to have a good library of maps available.
I know I'm dragging a really old thread back from the dead, but does anyone still have the briartech or maplets map for Sipsey? Neither seem to be available anymore. I have caltopo, alltrails, gaia maps and a few more, but would love to use one of the older ones for labeling. Seem to have lost them with my old phone sadly.
I just used Wayback and was able to download the 16 page version. If you are unable to do, pm me with your email address and I can send to you.

Thank you guys! Was able to get the map via email from a member here. Amazing, been looking for quite some time.
Guys,
I lost my PC's hard drive with the Briartech Sipsey one page map on it. Do any of you guys still have a valid link to this .pdf? The original link is dead.
