To test an iron on your fabric use the lowest heat setting and a scrap of your fabric first. If this goes well, iron away!

Did you have to make marks along the hem to get an even roll, or did you just eyeball it?
I usually use chalk marks. Many folks just eye ball it. I keep trying to convince myself to get a 1/2" hem foot. I'd expect it to help make the process quite a bit faster, for me anyway.

My rolled hem guide (not a foot, a separate attachment) is a 5/8", which ended up being a good size for Knotty mod possibilities... thought it would make things faster, but it didn't!

Well, the feed dogs and presser foot pressure on my machine appear to be NOT adjustable. And the presser foot sure is pressing down hard! Guess I'm going to try a walking foot and see if that helps.

When working with HyperD 1.0, I found it to be a galactic PITA, stretching diagonally, starts and stops pulling into the deck of the machine, seams twisting... all sorts of injecting maladies. I finally figured to use a little elmers white glue to stiffen up and set my seams. Stitch away, wash it on gentle cycle, hang to dry. No more glue, even seams, pretty starts and stops and FAR fewer headaches. It's a bit of a mess, so I definitely recommend a painter tarp or something be used as it leaks through the fabric a bit. It's, of course, a bit more work, but it worked out very well for me. YMMV
