    Hello from Colorado Springs, CO.

Hello all , thought I would say hi . I've been reading your threads for a few months now , some great things to learn here ... I see shug from YouTube is on here , that's great , I've learned a lot with his YouTube channel ... I live in Colorado Springs and do a lot of local hiking , north Cheyenne canyon is my favorite place to "hang" out , I do love hitting up barr trail going up to America's mountain Pikes Peak , the wife hates it when I go there because she has to drop me off at the trail head early 0dark30 ... right now I use a Viking nature hammock and a home made under quilt made from a military poncho liner , works great I haven't tried it in anything real cold yet just 50's and 60's ... but winter is here so i think ill get the chance ... still trying out the ridge line . I do have a copy of the ultimate hang coming in . I have only been hanging and light weight back packing sense around spring time and feel there is still a lot to learn ... does any one know of group hangs around this area ?

Welcome to Hammock Forums. That's a beautiful area you are in and your lucky to have so many areas to hike. There are several members here from around that area so hopefully they will chime in on the local group hangs. Again welcome.

Greetings from Castle Rock and welcome to the forums! There isn't much activity in the forums by way of group hangs but there are two or three of us that try and get out as much as we can. PM me your email and I can try and include you in some plans.

This summer I took a trip to Colorado Springs. Hung for a night at Mueller Park. I'd love to get back there. So many things to see & do there!
