I'm originally from the US, but have been living in Switzerland for the past 10 years or so. I love the outdoors, the alps, and fly fishing. I've never been hammock camping before or slept in one for that matter, but I recently acquired an HH Deep Jungle as I'd like to put it to use on alpine fly fishing and hiking trips. I gave it a shot a few nights ago on our porch. It got down to about 40F, and I had the bubble pad and a sleeping bag and was just fine. Laying down flat and moving around properly takes a little work and getting used to but I really liked it. I've got to wait a while to put it to use in the alps, but I'll be trying it out over the winter too, I'm curious how much cold I can handle with a sleeping bag and the bubble mat/inflatable mat before looking for an underquilt.
