    Vermont AT SOBO 9/2016

SOBO'd Vermont AT with my brother a few weeks ago. 120 trail miles total from Hannover NH to just north of North Adams Mass. A little hot at first but the weather calmed and the leaves started to show a little. Got really chilly our last night out up on top Glastenbury at the Goddard shelter when it dipped to 35*.... almost froze my Sawyer...lucky me.

Anyone up for an interesting night hike thought the Glastenbury Wilderness and stay up there or Goddard shelter. It's very remote and the keeper up at Stratton Mnt told us all the spooky history and nightmares of that place. It was pretty fun. Ended up with a decent group at the shelter and one guy woke in the night hollering lol. Keep and eye out for the Bennington monster 20160918_173544.jpg20160920_073951.jpg20160920_154840.jpg20160921_175640.jpg20160923_132430.jpg20160924_115204.jpgIMG_0239.jpgIMG_0361.jpgIMG_0422.jpgIMG_0466 (1).jpgIMG_0476.jpg

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a lot of fun. I didn't know you could hang in shelters. That's one way to have full rain coverage
What was the significance of all those cairns?
