A buddy has a birthday in a few days and I was looking for something unique to get him. Currently he sleeps in a short, big box store hammock and I thought this would be a good way to get him to try something a little better suited for camping. So a quick trip to the new custom prints page and I was off to the races. Ended up with an almost 11 ft hammock, ridgeline, and stuff sack. I added continuous loops so he can use his existing suspension or upgrade to whoopies in the future. Sorry for the dark pics but by the time I took the photos the sun was down and all I had was the ceiling light.

If you haven't seen the whole build thread I did you can search it out. It has been about a year since we completed it and it has made packing for backpacking so much more enjoyable. I'll never go back to bins and closets as long as I have a choice

Thanks, I hadn't seen one either and he is from Michigan and so he will appreciate the plaid.

Well I gave my buddy his hammock yesterday, he was stoked. After a few minutes of laying in it he agreed that it was probably more comfortable than his ENO. All in all, successful build. Now he wants me to show him how to make hammocks so he can make them for his friends. The cycle continues!
