    Feathers into down?

I have a couple of feather pillows and am not sure what to do with them. I am tempted to shove some of the feathers into the food processor (when my wife isn't home of course) and see what happens. Just curious if it would make them not so flat and give it more loft.

Sorry, you are the only guys that will listen to my crazy ideas.

I rather doubt it will work, but would love to hear about it afterwards.

That sounds like something that I would try out of curiosity lol. I agree with the other comment that it probably won't work well, but I am curious as to the results of you experience. If we don't hear back from you I guess we can assume that your wife did not take kindly to your experiment lol

Yep video it! We wont tell your wife! And by the way as I was staring at a pile of feathers last night, similar thoughts ran through my head :-)

Feathers have been shown (there was an article on BPL yrs ago) to help loft (of lower-fill especially) in down insulated items. The item will weigh more, be prone to holes/leakage, and cost less.

I too want a video!!!! Be sure to include your wife's facial expression and reactions

Ok, so that made me belly laugh. I will be sure to get a video if I ever get the sudden urge to try this out. Glad to know I am not the only one to have such thoughts.

Hmm maybe the result will be just chopped up feathers ?

    Or a feather smoothie

Just make sure your wife will be away for quite a while, clean up may not go quickly
