Can a UQP provide the same level of gear storage as a dedicated gear hammock and still serve its primary function as a UQP? Seems like the gear would weigh it down and cause an air gap, exposing the UQ to air drafts, and thus defeating the purpose. I'd appereciate ant feedback from those who own one as I'm all for dual purpose equipment.

The shockcord is not very strong. I do use my UQP to hold my quilts (both) while I am using the hammock as a chair to cook and eat from.

At bed time my UQP has one job which is protection from the wind.
