Have arrived home after a long drive. Had great time. Sam is glad to be home and is making up for being a good camper by getting into everything he can at home.
Will have to go thru the photos I took and post tomorrow.

Here's a few of the photos I took, and thanks again to everyone! I had such an outstanding time!
So, the hang being in the beautiful mountains, we had many views. Also of course, there is just no way possible for any photos - including these sub-amateur ones I took - to remotely do justice to the majesty and beauty that "you" see before you when you are standing there.
And you can just start to see the color change starting in the leaves..
I really like it when you can see the "layers" of mountains.. again... the camera - the photograph, Do NOT do it justice
and without the sun
Grayson Highlands State Park is famous for, among other things, wild ponies. While they are indeed wild, they are also quite used to people, and very friendly - which some of us were lucky enough to experience first hand. I can't tell you how awesome it is (was) to be approached by, and get to pet many of the wild ponies as they grazed by.
And a few flower shots. The first one is Yarrow - I was talking with another HF member about it, and it's uses/benefits, but I couldn't for the life of me remember it's name at the time...
And this one I do not know - but it's pale purple flowers were strikingly beautiful in that clean, bright sunlight, light breeze, and crisp early fall mountain air
Thanks for letting me share, and looking forward to seeing more photos!
u.w.
I most enjoyed kids, dogs and your stories. Lots of hammocks rigged and no flys, mosquitos to fend off as I drank one or two small cups of musky coffee. You hosted a great hang Rockdawg69

Pyro and I had a blast. The hammock community really is like a big family. I didn't take many pictures, but Gunny spotted a deer laying down near our hammocks Saturday night. It's hard to make out in the picture.

Wow! I'd like to respond to each one of your posts, but I'd never get it all out.
We have had a good time each Fall Festival Hang, even in rainy weather.
And we have had some out standing hangs.
But this one will go down in my memories as the best yet!
I kinda don't want to say that because the others have been wonderful too. But this weekend was near perfect!
As Will said, great place, people, food & weather!
A huge thanks for all of your participation, the great cooks and all those who donated to the raffle, both individuals & our fantastic makers of hammocks & gear!
More to come about the raffle. And pictures too!
I too will something make and joy in it's making
It was the parking for the festival. Great view from there.
