Can someone please explain what a differential cut is? And what is a dart? I'm a quilt newbie so please excuse my ignorance.I also wanted this quilt to be cut differentially on both axes (yes that's spelled right, I had to look it up). The problem was that it's almost impossible to sew darts on a zig zag and get a nice neat product.

Differential cut is where to outside is bigger than the inside to maintain a high loft when its hung under the hammocks.
Darts are like pleats that are put into the edge of the fabric so the larger piece ends up the same width as the smaller piece.
