I thought it was pretty good. He did mention tree straps and even underquilts. Sure they mention the more popular on the market hammocks. If folks bite, they will eventually start looking and seeing that there is a plethora of hammocks available that most never know about. Speaking about most of our vendors who are really cottage industry and playing to the hammock fanatics (that would be us)
It is a growing trend but I still find many hammock enthusiasts that like park and festival hanging to chill and relax but have never overnighted in their hammocks.

100% True Shug, About half of my camping is car camping in State Park "lots" and I don't care from a pop up to a bus style TV will have ENO or Grand Trunks put up next to them . My last trip out I had my WBRR and Hennessy Jungle XLC and many folks stopped to ask if they could check them out.

Reading this thread from the top to this point shows a perfectly classic example of how people can morph a story into something completely new, regardless of the facts. There has not been a single negative thing said about the article itself. Sheesh. I think we all need to get out and hang some more.

I don't get it. Were you expecting negative comments about the article? It's just an intro to hammock camping article in a national publication. I thought it was cool that they were trying to promote it. The comments in the article were what I thought was amusing and rather revealing about the masses attitudes toward hammock camping.

Yea, and as usual my response was removed and I'm still not sure why. I'll try to stay vanilla in all my responses. So here goes. I like the WSJ and all of their articles.

It iIS interesting... I wonder why those brands somehow "stuck out" in their news search. Some kind of market share concept search.

    Good article for the public.
