The weather is turning cooler near Denver, but a buddy and myself are hoping to find a low-ish (relatively speaking) altitude overnight hike and hang along a fishing stream next weekend. We'd like to avoid anything that will get to freezing temperatures at night. Lost Creek wilderness is our fallback but it looks like it could get down to 30 there.
Anyone know of a good area, under 10 mile hike in, where the fly fishing and hanging is good, and we're less likely to freeze our butts off during the first weekend in Oct? I'm not looking for your super secret spot, just a place where we can do both and not freeze.
