    incubator dual suspension

The incubator has a dual suspension system. How is this supposed to be used? What clips to where?

Everything clips to the same point (the hammock suspension). the idea behind dual suspension is the primary suspension pulls the quilt up against the hammock, the secondary suspension positions the quilt along the hammock.

I think you've got it backwards. The quilt slides along the primary suspension to allow it to be positioned along the hammock. The secondary suspension is to ensure the quilt is pulled up tight against the hammock as sometimes the weight of the quilt will cause it to start to droop without a secondary suspension.

Not an HG UQ but these should help with what you need to see.

I was recently confused about this too. I had to tighten up my primary suspension by untying the knot at the foot end, and taking about a foot of slack out of the shock cord. It wasn't intuitive to me, because all the other suspension adjustments are done with line locks.

This brought the UQ up to the bottom of my 11' Dutch hammock. Then I was able to fine tune the position by adjusting the secondary line locks.

It doesn't really matter what you call primary vs secondary. To me the primary suspension is the one that goes through the channels, as in my expirience that has the most impact to getting a good fit.

FWIW I personally have gone away from the two suspension approach on my quilts, opting for a simpler approach that eliminates the extra cord, but still positions the quilt and keeps it from bunching along the suspension.

Yeah, definitely. I've been thinking about making a post showing it - I just haven't had a chance to take some pictures.
