Hello from Atlanta! (and also new to hammock camping)

    Hi everyone!

I am so excited to join this forum. I love the outdoors, but camping in a tent has been...not so great. I look forward to learning to camp in a hammock and (hopefully) spend far more time outdoors!

I currently do not own my own hammock. My husband has an ENO Double Nest, and we are looking for me to get one as well.

    Any advice/tips are greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Hammock Forums and get that hammock and get out there. I would recommend checking out some of the cottage vendors hammock offerings as they are lighter and in many circumstances more comfortable that the ENO's. Check out vendors like Warbonnet, Simply Light Designs, Dutch, and more.

Hello and welcome from a neighbor to the north in Marietta GA.

My wife and I hammock camp and we love it! We are both currently using DIY table cloth hammocks with no complaints, and they're easy on the budget as well.

If you're interested we blog about and video some of our adventures. Links are in my signature. Happy hanging!

    Welcome.

It helps when you live an hour from what I think is the most beautiful place on the earth, the North Georgia mountains.

    Welcome from ITP!!

Lest some ENO folks get a little irritated, I want to be clear that the ENO is a fine hammock. But most newer folks don't know a whole lot about what else is out there, so take a look around this forum, and check out some of these sites...

You will soon learn that there is a lot more to camping with a hammock than the hammock itself. PM me if you want to see some of this stuff in person.

Hello from Marietta. Don't get hung up on brands and cool stuff. Just get out there and hang. You will figure it out along the way.

Welcome, I spent a couple of nights at Winfield Scott earlier this month. The weather is right for camping in the tri-state mountains.
