After the cool weather these past few day in early October, I'm getting very excited for HangCon 2017. I'm hoping for some cold weather.

Hanger, you can count me in for the hike. Don't care which day.

A saw a report on rising fuel costs up north. People are getting worried because this (according to them) is supposed to be a record cold winter.

So we might see lower 20's.

I'll take cooler weather over that storm we had this year on Sat night. What was it like 20mph winds with higher gusts and temps in the low 50's?

I would like to join the hike in Juniper Wilderness. I just completed the entire Ocala section in September and the Juniper Wilderness was hands down my favorite leg. Camped/swam at Hidden Pond and saw 2 bears, a spotted skunk, owls, eagles, and deer on the trail within a mile of the campsite. It's a wonderful, wild place!

Awesome, this makes around 5 or so hikers. The more the merrier.

For info on the hike, refer back to post 36 for more info, in case you missed it.

Please let us know if you want to make the hike on Friday so we can have enough transportation and food for lunch at Hidden Pond.

Glad to see many vendors coming to hang out with us on a mini vacation. Remember to take advantage of the area and not just work (unless you choose to. I'm not judging )

To the Vendors: Try to go on a hike on the Florida Trail (I'm cooking lunch), take a paddle down some of our Springs (Silver River has wild monkeys), relax on the lake in a kayak (I'll let you use my kayak), cuddle around the outside fire pit or inside fire place, I'll keep it roaring for you.
