I'm most likely coming. (98%)
This would be my first time at Stokes what should I expect and is there anything out of the ordinary I need to bring? Also what's the firewood situation there?

Such a great spot, Knotty discovered a real gem with these two SM sites.
@SS last year the Steammill sites were booked already, and all things considering I thought the group site worked out. We were closer together and not as remote, agreed. But there was still a stream, the bathrooms were a huge upgrade, and the cooking grills, bigger picnic table, and larger fire ring were all nice as well. Don't get me wrong, I love 216/218 as much as Rat Dog grinning ear to ear at 3am setting up his hammock to the dulcet sound of the Flatbrook, but Haskins H was pretty nice IMO.
The rangers have been exceptionally gracious about cars in years past, just don't piss them off. I agree wholeheartedly that unless turnout heads north of 2 dozen to not bother with a third site.
Happy to offer more free advice and opinions, you know what they're worth.

I'm out. I'm bummed. I like Stokes. My kids need at least one parent and neither wants to go.
