how do you use them like that, and for bridge spreader bars? Is it either or, I'm missing something I'm sure.

So far I have only used mine as a hammock stand. May fool with the bridge spreader today some.
Here is Cheryl's video showing what you are asking.....https://www.facebook.com/22448975756...type=2&theater

I have a pair of LifeLink xc ski poles. They are designed so you can pull the handles off push those ends together and it becomes snow probe. I'll spare you describing what you use the pole for. It sounds like Cheryl has hardware that turns two poles into one half of the Handy Hammock support. I'll check the FaceBook page but I'm guessing her product includes the two hiking poles that mate together and use her structural support hardware to turn the two poles into a "tree". It also sounds like the poles can also be used as spreader bars (for a ridge runner?). Interesting product.

    No.
If you buy two poles, you get two hammock supports. Each pole comes with extensions.

Each pole becomes a hammock support. Or one pole alone can become bridge spreaders.

It's actually pretty simple, most of that is the trussing, which without, you'd need heavier poles to keep it from bending in the middle when you load it with your body weight, and nobody wants heavier poles. The trussing comes pre-set, so all you do is hook each line's loop over the top and the short lines from one bracing to the next.

Yeah but that only works if you have saplings around to cut poles from, you wouldn't want to pack saplings up to above the tree line, or into the middle of the desert. I got two, for the day when I eventually do my cross country bicycle tour, so I can hang wherever I can put stakes into the ground. Even these poles are pretty heavy, but using it as a trecking pole means that while you're bringing the weight with you, at least it's not on your back, though the trussing is. Plus, if you don't need the poles for suspension, you can use them for a pole mod or a porch mode.

Apropos to these NoGround poles, they look like some seriously innovative and useful equipment; I look forward to your video review once you've gotten more testing time.
