I have removed a number of posts from this threads all for the same reason: (Quote from TOS)

This isn't about First Amendment rights but about keeping this particular site respectful and on-topic. The moderators will delete such posts, often without notification to the poster.

Lots of forums out there where you can discuss firearms, this is not one of them.

I've been looking at "Bright Path LED Camp Guard" I figured if placed close to the hammock it would at least alert you if being approached.

Bring a dog camping....They're about the best alarm system out there. Anywhere I've ever camped I've been way more concerned about the 2-legged predators than anything else. There are ways to deal with those too but they violate the TOS so we'll just save that discussion for another day.

If the creepy-crawlies are that bad maybe it's time to get a hotel room or a trailer.....

Thirdly: snakes are not drawn to you for your heat. If anything they'd see you as a large predator and get the hell out of there. If they come close they're just wandering around or hunting (prey, not you).

Yup, i'v spent plenty of time oz and south east asia. Loads of little nasties.....nothing some permathrin and a bugnet dont take care of

As far as snakes coming down the suspension, I think a couple of aluminum pie tins, or pieces of foil could be fashioned as rat guards.

I would be more concerned with the two legged type of predators, the usually will mess with you first and for most. Most of your snakes in Australia are of the poison type to the really poison type. We only have a few of them here in the USA that are poisonous type. Good luck in your hanging adventures.
    God bless.
