    Burrow standard width vs wide

I'm looking for feedback regarding the width of the hammock gear burrow top quilts. I currently use an HG Burrow 40 in Wide-Long. It's the only TQ i've ever owned. I'm in the market for a winter quilt and I'm debating back and forth between width sizes. I'm 6'2" 230# and with my current wide TQ I do have a bit of extra room to tuck in the sides and still have a bit of a "pocket" around my body. How important is this extra space around the user? I'm hoping someone who may have tried both width sizes of the Burrow may be able to provide some comparison. Thanks.

I have both. Although I am only 5' 10" and 150#, I eventually got the wide because I am a side sleeper. I can also draw both knees up in a side sleeping position, and have the quilt completely covering my back and also covering my knees. This position was always tricky for me with the regular width Burrow. When attempting to get maximum insulation on my back, I can pull the wide quilt almost completely around and under me. My wide Burrow is worth the extra weight for me, and one of my favorite pieces of gear. The regular width has become a back-up, in case anything happens to my wide Burrow.

Wide for me as well. Like the "extra" to tuck where I want it.

I had a burrow until it went up in flames. I am a Rubinesque shape, I find the wide quilt too much in the hammock. I now have a DIY with a draft ruffle (6 ins.wide). My ruffle or baffle, stops all the air leaks.

I loved the burrow, the regular width in a hammock was more than adequate. Ground a wider TQ would be better. Just my experience, each of us has our own
    way of managing.

I'm close to your size and prefer the wide. Better to have and not need. The weight difference is so small to me.

Thanks for the feedback. These are the times when you wish you had all the shapes and sizes from various vendors all laid out before you to test out.

Having lived outside all winter in a hammock, while using a 0º Burrow, wider is the way to go. Tucking in around the shoulders, arms and still allowing some movement without losing that precious warm air matters. Especially when the ambient air temp is sub 30º, way important in sub 20º and I'm not even joking when it's sub 10º. At -10º, you'll be sending me gifts to say thank you for making sure you bought a wide Burrow.
