Does the G4 have a hip belt and if yes what size?

Yes it does. Large in size, pouches are size med I think.

The G4, is the belt removable? Any idea of the year of manufacture? And the 'small hole in the water bottle pouch, small is relative, can you be more specific?

Sorry fixed the message issue.
I have no idea on the year of manufacture. I bought it on here last year.
I've never tried to remove the belt, but I believe it does remove. (I can check this when I get back in town)
The hole is about the size of a pencil eraser.

thanks for the quick response, I'm assuming the buckle you replaced is he one missing from your original purchase?

Yes the tie down buckle that came over the pack for the roll top lid was broke. I bought the replacement at the same time I bought the back pad for it.
