Before now, it was hammuck.
I tend to speak with a very "redneck" accent. Just imagine Jeff Foxworthy saying the word "ham-mick" as he's telling a story/joke about his redneck family. Often times though, I'll just refer to it as a "hammy", sounding like Joe Dirt talkin about a Hemi.
