Rain Man, what were the temps in Maine? Did you feel like you could take them cooler? I've only been able to test mine in 95* temps, nice and toasty!

For the price, they can't be beat. I took two last month on my two-week AT hike in Maine, a modified UQ and a modified TQ. They were perfect.
After reading the responses, I would not be surprised if these are being made in several locations "over there" and materials used may vary a lot from one location to the next. But the ones that I looked at while in the store were definitely NOT breathable and impossible to expell my breath through the Fabic (except the stitching holes). The fabric was as impermeable as my sil tarps, but after reading the comments from some of you, I'm on my way back to check again tonight and see what's came in since my last visit to Costco. If they breathe, I'll definitely will buy 2-3 for "project work" on the spot. For the money, I may just buy two anyway and see for myself.
Glad some folks reported they did not have any condensation issues and these worked out for them. Maybe I'll get lucky!

Just back from Costco, bought 2 of the down throws. These ARE different from the ones that I tried before. Thanks for the positive replies on the
"Breathable" responses that were posted, now I have an inexpensive project to work on.

Also, one thing that I like to do in the winter is distribute blankets to homeless people in Pittsburgh. I usually buy surplus wool blankets, but these may work well for that purpose.
I really admire, and respect, that you do that for the homeless.
