    OK...
I have read through all the posts, and I believe everyone knows where the CV2 is at. And that they can park at the fire tower parking area and hike in. HOWEVER...if you plan on hiking the trail from the fire tower, it is about 1.5 miles in length, some switchbacks, and can be slippery when wet. there is another way to the CV2. if you part on the hill at the hairpin turn, and yes there is a parking area there. Its a very large down hill walk, cross the creek, and your in the CV2 area. it takes less then 20 mins to get there from the parking area. I will say the trip home is a pain, but your in the car in no time. If you review the map that Farmer Ron has, that is the map from the hill to the CV2. IF you want to go that way, and unsure, let me know, I can hang out at the top of the hill and help others in, or mark the trail with orange tape.

I will be arriving around 3 pm Thursday. I will mark the short cut down the hill with yellow tape. The trickiest part is finding the starting point at the top of the hill. Once you start down hill it's pretty easy to get to CV 2. I will remove tape on the way out Sunday.
Hope to see a bunch of people there!

The Map on here ( sent earlier) shows the short cut. Remember, once parked, follow the trail about 100 yards or so. Keep to the left of the trail, you will see a trail going down the hill. Take it down the hill, it will lead you into a pine grove, seen from the top of the hill. You will continue to follow the trail across the creek, and onto another trail. That is the main trail, and the beginning of the crescent valley. Follow that creek ( north) about a miles or so. You will find us....

Well, I guess I'm the @hole but I just got back from an empty CV2. I could have sworn that we settled on this weekend, but I guess that changed. That sucked. Hopefully I'll be able to make it up next Saturday.
