Unlike an UQ you can pretty much use whatever you've got for a TQ.
I recently got a $25 Snugpak Jungle Blanket from Amzn and simply hand sewed the bottom third area to form a footbox. Turned out to be just the right length from the start, it covers my 5'8" height completely over the top of my head. And it packs down small.

I prefer a top quilt for weight savings but have used a sleeping bag unzipped almost all the way.

I bought a 0* Incubator in June when I started getting serious about hammock camping. I absolutely love it and planned to get a top quilt down the road. I used a variety of sleeping bags which worked fine, but after a couple backpacking trips, decided to order HG's 0* Burrow to save bulk. It arrived Friday and I tried it out on a car camping trip. Wow, sleeping bags work, but a good top quilt is awesome! I love the form fit and nice design features that are tuned to sleeping in a hammock. It is an investment, but one that I'll use frequently enough to make it worth every penny!

That's it! A piece of toilet paper and scotch tape works...but a band-aid is just so much nicer
