    Hi from St. Louis, MO

Just joined. Started hammock camping this year. Getting older and getting in and out of a small tent ain't getting any easier. Found that I like sleeping in a hammock

I have a Hennessy Expedition Classic. It's a nice hammock, but I don't like the bottom entry. I might be happier with the zip version. Also would like a double layer so I could insert a pad.

Welcome to hammock forums Kevin. There are several hammock cottage vendors that make really good hammocks. Check out warbonnetoutdoors.com, simplylightdesigns.com, dutchwaregear.com, and there are others. Check these out for some of the most comfortable hammocks available.

Hello from Sikeston, MO. We have a MO group hang coming up the first weekend in November. It will be at Hawn state Park near Farmington, MO on the Whispering Pines trail. Like to see ya there. If your interested I can send you a link to the park website. BTW: I also tried the HH Expedition classic and like you did not like the bottom entry. I got a DD Frontline and love it. It has a zipper entry on both sides and is double layer for a pad.

    Happy hanging,
    Semo

Thanks for the info, Semo. I'll check out the DD Frontline. Also thinking about trying to make my own, but I've never used a sewing machine. What could possibly go wrong.

I am familiar with Hawn. I've hiked the Whispering Pines trail a number of times. Thank you for the invitation. I might join you depending on what my better half has planned.

    Semo,

A question on the DD Frontline: Is is possible to attach a ridgeline, or would that not make sense?

In the absence of a ridgeline, do you have any trouble adjusting the sag to get the lay you want?
