So many fall hangs, We've got to figure out which we can and can't do. Stokes is close for us and our granddaughters so maybe we can get them out there with us.

Based on past years it would be weekend of Oct 21 (it's usually weekend before Halloween). I've been the one organizing it the past 2 years, but I can't make it that weekend this year, and the following weekend is possible for me but then the weekend after is Loco Libre hang in South Jersey which I'm considering and can't do both.. so -
I won't be organizing it this year, but I can support someone else in stepping up.
And, even if there isn't a group hang at Stokes, you should go anyway if it's close to you, it's a great place to hang!
Having attended only one hang so far, I wouldn't feel confident trying to organize one myself. Yeah, we've considered taking the girls there otherwise, i just have to finish quilts and such for them, hopefully in the next weekend or two.
So Stokes in October is a must do for me. It's just too beautiful to pass up.
A group hang would be cool, though the calendar is filling up and like MrC, I can't get to them all.
BCUSA is having a fishing, bush crafting weekend at Stokes Oct 21-23. Was thinking about heading up that weekend but might stay at another site. There are some hammockers in BCUSA and they are by all reports a friendly bunch with a few HF crossovers.

I can't step up to the plate to organize an HF Stokes gathering at this point but when I make a reservation, I'll post up the details and company is always welcome.

I love Stokes!
If there is a chance of a group hang there the weekend of 22nd I would make every effort to attend. I would need to know soon so i can plan my work schedule..
In the past has it been scheduled as a one or two nighter? I would take Friday off to make it an extended shindig.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Here's last year's event. https://hammockforums.net/forum/show...ghlight=stokes
I'd find a way to make this if someone were to set it up.

Is there a preferred site? Same as last year (H)? I'm going to be driving by there in the morning so I can stop in to see what's available, but I guess it's just as easy to call though. 21-23?
I just checked reserveamerica and haskins h is already taken on 21-22 and also 14-15.
