I'm paddling the Batsto river to Lower forge for an overnight 8-27-16. I have site 5 reserved. Menu to be determined later.

Well, I guess one weekend at home out of 6 is enough.

Love this paddle, after the first 5 miles of zig zags are out of the way.

Has SS looked up the water levels yet?

Water levels at 1.02 stage height right now, but they've been much higher the last few weeks. I guess the afternoon storms in the summer are keeping the rivers up.

By the way, site 5 is by far the best site at Lower Forge. For some reason in the past we were leaning towards site 4 as better, but it's a distant second in my opinion.

I always thought it was 5 first, and 4 and 5 if you could get both. But hey, it's actually been a while since I've been to Lower Forge, so I can't rightly remember.

I'm hoping to make this as well. I really need some woods time, and I'd love to get a paddle in as well.
