SilvrSurfr, great trip report! Now I might need some knives--what a combo, knives and hammocks! My Dad said With good knife fighters--they never allow the knife to be seen during a skirmish. Before I croak--I want to hang with y'all in the Pine Barrens--I will drink up all your coffee--

Come on up before you croak!

That's one place we never skimp - the coffee. Always fresh roasted from the roaster Booskerdoo a 1/2 mile from my house. I think we've converted most to using a French press, because percolators and drip just don't compare.

For some reason we always have a few pots of coffee before the food is ever started. I'm not sure why we do that, but there's never any coffee by the time the food arrives.

That's because we tend to stay up late, and we need those first few cups of coffee in order to be awake and with it enough to even attempt to cook.

I left the fire around 11, was settled in by 11:30, and snoring by midnight. But yes, that's early for me/us. I couldn't handle all the Trakker chat, and had to turn in.

I was more speaking in general terms, since SS was as well
