    N. Indiana ,Bloodroot Trail ,Sept.23

Annual fall camp since2012 . Easy1 mile hike (if you take the right trail ) .
Kid friendly but there may be blood since squirrels may be roasted over the fire. Other wild things as well ,usually fall mushrooms .
Mixture of Bushcrafters and Hammock guys so far has worked out without bloodshed .

    you are cordially invited

Hi riverjoe! I 'm working on the calendar to try and be there this year. I really enjoyed the last time. There is a second fire ring now in that campsite. There is a also a large tree that fell right next to the main fire ring. We have been there four times this summer and two of them were muddy and rainy. I sure hope this works out.

Have a fun time fellas. As it stands now, I am scheduled to be in norther Michigan hiking the Jordan Valley Pathway with some other forum members. Riverjoe, won't there be another hang on the Bloodroot later in the year or early next year (usually)?

Yes, I took little Chad twice. Once to campsite 2 and once to campsite 1. It was rainy and muddy both times, so he wants to make sure the next time it is dry. I had to carry him and his pack over some of the long, water covered spots. That was a challenge. Glad to hear you are all recovered now.

Yes, Chad is going with me as long as it's not raining . The last two times we went were pretty miserable. I had to carry him over some of those long water filled muddy areas. We ended up hiking 3 miles in to the second site. I think this one will be a lot better.
