Inflatable neck roll or contour pillow. Does anyone use them?

I didn't want to hijack the current pillow thread discussion, so I'm starting one just on neck rolls & contour inflatable pillows.

    1. I'm in love with the pack-ability & weight of an inflatable pillow.

    2. I've tried two different Sea to Summit pillows 573-48_1_hires.jpg and also 41tDTfRCYyL._SX425_.jpg. Then I tried Klymit Cush 81awB1mF4XL._SX425_.jpg. None of these worked well enough.

    3. I haven't found anything to stuff in a stuff sack to give me the firmness I desire either.

    4. At home, I have a memory foam contour pillow that I'm in LOVE with. contour-pillow.jpg

Does anyone use an inflatable neck roll?

Or an inflatable travel contour pillow? (Does that even exist?)

I just take a small stuff sack and fill it with my extra clothes.. It makes an acceptable neck roll.

I use a similar pillow to yours at home in bed, though something firmer. While camping, sometimes I roll up an extra piece of clothing to put under my neck -- though if it's chilly, I'm generally already wearing all my clothes.

I have one of these I've used sometimes while camping: Lug Napsac Blanket + Pillow It's inflatable, so can be as firm or soft as you want. The fleece blanket is nice to plug up holes around the neck area of a sleeping bag when it's really cold. Takes up a fair amount of room, though.

Was thinking of maybe making something... though to be firm enough and the right shape, while also being packable, an inflatable pillow would be ideal, and I can't imagine it's easy to DIY something inflatable. But the ones you've posted above don't really have the same neck support, do they? Hmm...

My good camping buddy, Jessica & I have had many discussions about why hasn't Tempur pedic made an entire line of camping pillows. An inflatable contour pillow sounds like it should exist and we haven't thought of how to do it ourselves.

We've also had discussions on what I could use (while tent camping) for underneath my legs. Why isn't there inflatable leg rolls also? (Anything to re-create my adjustable frame mattress that I so dearly adore.)

I was going to suggest Pillow X too, but I can't say I've actually used it yet. I have a nice small pillow that my mom got me for X-mas. I love it except when it is hot in summer. It's a normal type of pillow, just smaller, but it makes me very hot.

I use the inflatable Sea to Summit and I like it. The cool think about air is that you can fine tune the shape to your liking.

I bought an inflatable contour pillow shaped just like mine (& yours) used at home. It's plastic, like a pool float.

It is light, comfy, but is a pain to inflate due to the valve, for some reason. Found it on ebay years ago - there were several mftrs so give it a look.

I have three of the Klymit X pillows and like them. They are slick and can fall out of a gathered end hammock but these work great for my Ridgerunner. I slightly inflate them and they pack down to a very small package like a pack of cigarettes is about as close an analogy as I can think at the moment. I get them on Massdrop typically for $15 + $3 shipping. They aren't the softest material but they work.
