Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.
Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks!
Here's the one I use.

$5 deflates perfectly flat and stays put when I move around in the hammock. Even when I get up to pee, I come back to the hammock and realize it's still on my neck.
They are a little cheap and they don't last forever. I get a few years out of one then replace it if it starts losing air. Trick is to keep it slightly under inflated... And don't sit on it lol.

Here is an inflatable neck pillow:

Also, I thought this was pretty cool:

I like the loop at the top of the stuff pillow...you could tie it with some shock cord above your head in the hammock to keep it from flying around.
I didn't care for the inflatable pillows that I tried due to sliding around and comfort. I eventually settled with a traditional type that I use as a neck roll. It's not the lightest or most compact pillow, but it works for me.

I have the Klymit X pillow and i love it. It's not great for airplanes but I still take it because it's so tiny and easy to inflate.
I also have the Klymit Cush Pillow/seat but haven't tested it. It's long and can be folded in half, thirds, and even four levels (see the video). Can't copy the Amazon link but here's a review:
100% must buy for backpacking and hammocking .

This pillow is fantastic for using in a hammock. If you fold it into an M your neck can cradle in it like a neck pillow. I love its versatility and size. This thing packs down so small. I normally use a neck pillow cover and stuff with my extra clothes for backpacking but this thing is worth the minimal amount of weight and space in your bag. The strange shape seems like it would be uncomfortable but I found it to be extremely comfortable.>>
I had 3 ounces of leftover down from making my Under quilt so I made an argon pillowcase and filled it up with the down. I also have a klymit X pillow and made another case that both the down pillow and the klymit X will fit in. However I usually use the down pillow for my head and the klymit x for my knees, I'll combine the two if the hammock Gods do not smile and I must go to the ground.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...
Wouldn't a down pillow compress too much?
The nemo one looks promising to me. I went to my local store and they are out of them. Good sign! Ha
It does, but still gives a nice layer of cushion and keeps your head warm.
