I use a Thermarest Neoair Trekker. Has an R value of 3. I've used this into the low 30s, upper 20s. I've also used the same setup into the high 60s. If I got too warm I would just kick a leg and arm out until I cooled off a bit.

I’m curious, how do you like the noise level of the pad? Some people say it’s very loud because of the crinkle-crackle of the internal baffles and foil-like reflective layers.

That pad (the Trekker) is no longer made. The current generation of NeoAirs, the NXT models, have reduced the crinkly sound quite a bit compared to their predecessors.
