All in, Tarp system suggestions, Ridgeline & Dutchware

Didn't quite know where to post this since theres no tarp section, but i figure my questions has to do with knots and such so you know. . .

Pretty much i figure i'd just go all in with this tarp set up if it's gonna last me many miles of solid backpacking. After oogling at dutchware over the past year i figure i'd give it a shot.

What i have to work with
Hammock Gear's o so beautiful cuban fiber 11x8.5" tarp
    25 ft of zing it
    25 ft of shock chord
    15x Mini clips
    2 JrB Amstel wishbones

For door management i really like this system http://www.adventurealan.com/method-...ck-tarp-doors/ Hence why i bought the clips.

I'll probably store a few lengths of 3ft shock chord in my pack for optional pull outs.

That leaves me with a few questions,
I've seen some videos of this tarp set up with a ridgeline and without. Is it nessesary or recommended to add something like a zing-it ridgeline?
For hardware i was thinking about Dutch's Stingerz with some sections of zingit to go around the trees, and tarpworms or Flyz for the 4x D Rings with loops of shock chord at the d rings for tensioning and zinging to go down to my stakes.

I'll probably store this whole setup in snakeskins fwiw

Whatchya'll think? Any where i can improve or make my life even more convenient?

Feel free to share your knots, ridgeline setup for tarps, line type, guy lines tension system. All this is helping so i can go research a little.

Weather protection section usually covers everything about tarps, but.... Zing It is recommended(highly) because it's light, durable, and static (no stretch even when wet). As far as the hardware I'm gonna let someone else answer, because I'm a knot tying kind of guy.

No need for shock cord with a cuben fiber tarp - it doesn't stretch. Shock cord tensioners were really invented to fight the tendency of silnylon to stretch once it gets wet, but cuben fiber doesn't do that.

I know some folks who use shock cord tensioners on cuben fiber but I honestly don't know why they do it. I don't use shock cord at all, anywhere on my cf tarp.

Thanks for the explanation, makes sense.

What do you do for door management on your cf tarp? The shock chord there seems like a nifty idea.

Zing-It 1.75 mm. I just don't see any need for shock cord anywhere on a cf tarp. Some think that shock cord on cf doors makes it easier to get in and out when the doors are closed, but I've never had any problem getting in and out, even with the doors fully closed.

On my cuben tarp for the tie-outs I use straight lash-it Marlin-spike hitched to the stake. I use the door management technique that you referenced in your op.
